STATE COUNCIL

Constitution

  • The State Council consists of a minimum of three (3) and a maximum of eleven (11) members Including the State President and Secretary depending on the size of the state and the territories to be covered
  • The members of the State Council will recommend and nominate one of their Council members as the State President and another as the State Secretary to the Board of Directors.
  • The appointment of the State President and the State Secretary would be subject to the approval of the Board based on the nomination received from the State Council and the recommendation received from the Principal Administrator of the zone.
  • The State Council will be regulated and governed by the Policy framework established by the Board of Directors and the Governing Council.

Guidelines for acceptance of members of State Council

  • The members of the State Council would be selected on the basis of their social engagement and general acceptance of their influence within the territories where they operate.
  • The members of the State Council should have reasonable experience in industrial relations, business operations and should possess a clean background without any criminal associations or political controversies.
  • The members of the State Council should be of sound mind and not disqualified for entry into commercial contracts or legal engagements either by law or by default.
  • The members of the State Council would be accepted on the basis of nominations received from the respective regions routed through the Principal Administrator of the zone or through the Board of Directors.
  • The members of the State Council would be accepted to serve in the State Council as representatives of their respective regions on a voluntary basis without commercial obligations from CRDI either for remuneration or for professional compensation for their services or for work undertaken on behalf of CRDI.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • The members of the State Council will be responsible for the overall development of the activities of CRDI in their respective regions as defined by the Board of Directors and the Governing Council.
  • The members of the State Council would focus on all the activities related to the promotion of membership for various classes defined by the charter of activities of CRDI.
  • The members of the State Council would provide relevant data on the nature of industries and commercial operations in their respective regions and recommend suitable activities and engagements to be promoted by CRDI to serve the members of the region.
  • The members of the State Council would act as the link between the members of the region and the Board of Directors and Governing Council of CRDI through the Principal Administrator of the zone under which they operate.
  • The members of the State Council are responsible for disseminating information related to the services delivered by CRDI and promote commercial engagements of CRDI in their region.

Tenure

  • The tenure of the Chairman of the State Council will be for a period of two (2) years commencing from January of every Calendar year.
  • The tenure of the Secretary of the State Council will be for a period of three (3) years commencing from April of every Calendar year.
  • The tenure of the other members of the state council will be for a period of two (2) years commencing from January of every Calendar year.
